07/02/2010 - Calgary, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Henry Burris threw for 324 yards on 27-of-40 passing, leading the Calgary Stampeders to a 30-16 win over the Toronto Argonauts in the season opener for both clubs.

Burris also recorded an interception for Calgary (1-0), which finished last season 10-7-1 and in a tie for first place in the West Division. Joffrey Reynolds ran for 116 yards and a score on 17 carries, while Romby Bryant hauled in six passes for 113 yards in the win.

Nik Lewis had a game-high seven receptions for 74 yards for the Stamps.

Cleo Lemon, making his CFL debut, completed only 16-of-28 passes for 192 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Argos, who have lost nine straight games dating back to last season, when the team went 3-15.

Jeremaine Copeland, who spent the last five seasons with Calgary before coming to Toronto in an offseason trade, caught only four passes for 40 yards in defeat.

Jim Barker's second stint with the club didn't go as planned, as the coach returned to the team he once led to a 9-9 record in 1999.

Toronto had a chance to tie in the final minute, but Calgary defensive back Wes Lysack came from the blind side to pummel Lemon. Malik Jackson picked up the ensuing fumble and returned it 41 yards for the game-clinching touchdown.

After a scoreless first quarter, Calgary jumped out to a 10-0 lead behind Rob Maver's 17-yard field goal to begin the second, which was followed by a one- yard Reynolds touchdown with 2 1/2 minutes remaining until halftime.

Lemon got the Argos on the board a minute later, tossing a five-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Johnson for a 10-7 halftime margin.

Maver's 31-yard field goal with 5:17 remaining in the third put the Stamps ahead by six, and a single moments later made it a 14-6 game entering the fourth quarter.

Chad Owens, though, quickly tied the game, weaving his way through the Calgary defense for a 90-yard punt return score and a 14-13 score with 13 minutes to play.

The Stamps answered with a pair of field goals, the last coming from 32 yards away with seven minutes to play. Each team added a field goal from there to set up the finish -- Grant Shaw hit from 28 yards away with four minutes left, and Maver capped a 10-play drive from 14 yards out with 51 seconds on the clock.

Barker also coached Calgary to a 5-13 record in 2003...Copeland was sent to Toronto in exchange for wide receiver P.K. Sam, who did not catch any passes...Calgary recorded 484 total yards, compared to just 215 for Toronto.
