Huh confirms South Korea exit

07/02/2010 - Seoul, South Korea (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - South Korea manager Huh Jung-moo confirmed on Friday that he will not be renewing his contract with the team, which expires at the end of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The 55-year-old Huh guided South Korea to the round of 16 before they were eliminated by Uruguay, 2-1, and he told a news conference that he "would like to have an opportunity to recharge."

Huh took charge of the Taeguk Warriors in December 2007 and he became the first manager in South Korea history to help the team advance past the group stage in the World Cup for the first time outside their own country.

No immediate successor was named by the Korea Football Association.
